Mine's pretty self-explanatory, but - I've been in the Arizona scene off and on since 1984 (hence the "old school" part), saw Social Distortion for the first time in 1985 at a VFW hall down on Thomas Road in Phoenix. Being a sickboy has been my way of life now for well over twenty years.
Bad Luck- my fav Social D song at the time of signing up
Luke- cos thats my name...
when i got on the first sxdx message board on the official site back in 2000 or 2001 i was the only german user there (at least i think so), so i thought by choosing "kraut" i wouldn't have to explain that i'm from the old world all the time...
Beacause I got a divorce in Reno Nevada one time.
Pretty simple really - J for John and the rest is my surname.
So you can all call me John rather then jgoaten if you want.
Pknieval = Psycho knieval
Long story short, its an old nickname as in Ferris Bueller (yes, I'm a child of the 80's!). Back in the 80's was out with a buddy and kept running into cute girls I knew (just pure luck, trust me).
All of them said hi to me and my buddy gave me crap saying, "good god, its like running around with Ferris Bueller, Mr Popularity". 20 years later its still stuck...uggh.
wow, that?s a cool topic
Alright, my name: back in 2005, when I made my first record, I thought it?d be cool to have something like an Artist Name, cause my real name is not really made for putting it on a CD Cover. So I contemplated some names, my fav became Jake Elwood (like Jake and Elwood Blues) I told this my Girl, she said Jack would fit to me, but not Jake Elwood. The day after we talked about this we saw the Hanson Brothers (from the Slapshot Movie) playin on a small town ice-rink here in Germany while they toured through Europe, and I really enjoyed those fucking crazy Guys. On the ride back home I had the idea of "creating" Jack Hanson, and that name stuck with me. Actually it should?ve been only an Artist Name, but today to everyone I?m Jack, my Girl, our daughter, friends...the only exception are my parents. Most people around me do not know my real name and that?s quite interesting to me, I like that
